Isabella County Jail Roster
The official Isabella County inmate records path starts with the Sheriff's Office Inmate Search page. That county page links to the JailTracker public roster for the Isabella County Criminal Justice Center and to Michigan VINELink. JailTracker is the current county-custody search. It is best for people booked into the CJC after arrest, defendants waiting for court action, people serving local jail sentences, and people held on warrants or detainers.
The roster is not a statewide corrections search. The Michigan Department of Corrections says OTIS does not include county jail or city lockup inmates. That distinction matters in Isabella County because no MDOC prison is physically located in the county, yet sentenced Isabella County defendants can be moved anywhere in the state prison system after conviction and classification. Federal sentenced prisoners and immigration detainees also require different locators.
The county's inmate-search page was captured in the image set. The official Isabella County inmate search page places the roster, VINELink, and fraud warning in one local path.
Use the county page when confirming the official roster route. Use the direct roster only after noting the scam warning about bond and payment requests.
Search Isabella County Inmates
The JailTracker public roster at Public Safety Cloud is free for public search and did not require a login for the inspected public fields. The local agency configuration allows the public list to load without a required name filter and caps results at 500. Public image support is enabled. Because the observed Isabella mode is current-offenders-only, the public reader should not expect a broad released-inmate archive from the roster screen.
- Open the Isabella County inmate-search page or the direct JailTracker roster.
- Read the Isabella notice warning that the Sheriff's Office will not call family members to request money.
- Enter last name and first name. If results are broad, add middle name, gender, offender ID, permanent ID, or an intake-date range.
- Open a matching row or mobile card to see booking photo status, intake date, agency IDs, charge rows, case number, court, bond, and public descriptors.
- Call the jail information line or check MiCOURT before relying on bond or charge status for release, court, or records decisions.
Isabella County Search Fields
The roster offers several filters, but none were required in the inspected public configuration. The most reliable public search starts with exact last name and first name. Offender ID and permanent ID help only when a prior roster view or jail contact already supplied those numbers. Intake-date filters can narrow recent bookings when a name is common.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Name | Text | No | Public text input; Enter can run the search. |
| Last Name | Text | No | Main filter for most Isabella County inmate records searches. |
| Middle Name | Text | No | Helps separate common names. |
| Gender | Dropdown | No | Blank, F, or M from the Isabella agency configuration. |
| Offender Id | Text | No | Numeric agency offender ID. |
| Permanent Id | Text | No | Numeric permanent ID used by the jail system. |
| Intake Date Range | Date inputs | No | From and to fields for booking date filtering. |
| Release Date Range | Date inputs | Hidden | Hidden in Isabella public current-only mode. |
| Export PDF | Button | No | Exports returned list data, not a certified copy. |
Isabella County Inmate Profile
A JailTracker profile is a current jail record, not the final court record. It can show a booking photo, name, gender, offender ID, permanent ID, booking date, release date if listed, active status, agency, charge table, bond fields, case number, court code, arresting agency, and basic physical descriptors. Public data inspected in the research did not expose date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license, or state ID values.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Booking photo | Profile image when imageUri and hasImage are present; otherwise image may be unavailable. |
| Offender ID | JailTracker agency ID tied to the public booking or person record. |
| Intake date | Booking date and time recorded in the roster system. |
| CriminalOffenses | Charge text, statute, status, court, case number, arresting agency, bond type, and bond amount. |
| Bond fields | Labels such as cash only, cash or surety, 10 percent option, no bond, or bond canceled. |
| AdditionalInfo | Age, race, height, weight, hair color, eye color, and scheduled release date when listed. |
Isabella County Bond Fields
The jail roster can show bond type and amount, but the court controls release. Isabella County's Trial Court criminal division says the 76th District Court issues warrants, sets bail, accepts bond, and conducts misdemeanor and felony arraignments. The county inmate-search page also posts a detailed scam warning: do not send gift cards, wire transfers, or unofficial payments to anyone claiming to collect bail, ankle-monitor, or pretrial-release money.
| Bond Type | How to Read It |
|---|---|
| CASH ONLY | Verify exact amount and accepted methods with the jail or court. |
| CASH OR SURETY | Cash or surety bond may be allowed if no other hold blocks release. |
| CASH, SURETY OR 10% | A court may allow cash, surety, or a percentage deposit. |
| NO BOND | Payment will not release the person on that charge or hold. |
| BOND CANCELED | A prior listed bond is no longer active; verify status before taking action. |
Note: Use only official county, JailATM, court, or in-person jail channels for bond questions and payments.
County State Federal Custody
Search the right system for the custody stage. A person can be booked at the CJC, arraigned in district court, moved to circuit court on a felony, sentenced to MDOC, or transferred because of a federal or immigration matter. No single Isabella County inmate records search covers all of those stages.
| Custody | Where to Look | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
| County jail | Isabella County JailTracker | Current CJC custody, booking charges, active profile fields. |
| Victim notification | VINELink Michigan | Custody and case notification when available. |
| State corrections | MDOC OTIS | Prisoners, parolees, probationers, absconders, and recent discharges within the MDOC scope. |
| Federal prison | BOP locator | Federal sentenced inmates from 1982 to present. |
| Immigration detention | ICE Online Detainee Locator | Current ICE custody and some recent CBP custody over 48 hours. |

Booking in Isabella County
The 2025 CJC inmate guide describes admission in local detail. Personal property is collected, inventoried, and stored. Money is deposited into the inmate account because the jail uses a cashless commissary system. The person is photographed, fingerprinted, and, if applicable, DNA is collected. Jail staff provide charge, bond, or commitment information, classify the person, issue CJC clothing, a wristband, bedding, hygiene items, property bins, and a Mini device, then move the person into housing after a strip search.
Classification is based on psychological, medical, and criminal history, current charges, prior history, medical or psychological needs, and available space. The guide identifies minimum, medium, and maximum security. Minimum-security inmates may be eligible for work crew, trusty, work release, school release, outside trusty, or community service. Maximum-security inmates are housed separately and may have more limited out-of-cell activity.
Isabella County Visitation Rules
Isabella County routes phone, visitation, tablets, e-messaging, and text through Combined Public Communications. The inmate guide says an inmate phone account, messaging, and visitation can be set up online through CPC. The county pages did not publish a fixed public visiting-hours schedule in the inspected sources, so visitors should confirm schedule, ID rules, personal-property limits, and entry procedures before travel.
| Item | Local Detail |
|---|---|
| Scheduling and vendor | Combined Public Communications, cpcjail.com. |
| Services named by county | Phones, visitation, tablets, e-messaging, and text. |
| Schedule | Specific public visiting hours were not located; verify with jail or CPC. |
| Visitor rules | Confirm ID, property limits, and entry rules at (989) 772-5915. |
The visitation and video services page was captured from the county site. The Isabella County visitation and video page names CPC as the communication service provider.
The county screenshot supports the local vendor link, but it does not replace a live schedule check before a visit.
Mail Money and Commissary
Standard non-legal friends and family mail must go to the Kentucky processing address listed by the county: inmate name and inmate ID, Isabella County Jail, MI, PO Box 76550, Highland Heights, KY 41076. Legal mail and money orders go to the jail or CJC address at 5270 East Remus Road, Mount Pleasant, MI 48858. The mail instructions say mail to other addresses will be rejected starting April 1, 2025.
For deposits, bonding via web, gift packs, weekend packs, and commissary ordering, Isabella County points to JailATM. The county page says funds are available immediately after credit-card processing, but direct deposits may automatically pay inmate debt such as housing or medical debt. The inmate guide says commissary orders are due by 2300, or 11 p.m., Mondays, with delivery Saturdays whenever possible.
| Service | Provider or Rule |
|---|---|
| Standard mail | PO Box 76550, Highland Heights, KY 41076, with inmate name and ID. |
| Legal mail | 5270 East Remus Road, Mount Pleasant, MI 48858. |
| Deposits and packs | JailATM / Stellar Services. |
| Commissary deadline | Monday at 2300 / 11 p.m. |
| Indigent threshold | $5.00 or less for 14 consecutive days. |
FOIA for Booking Records
When an Isabella County inmate record is not visible in the current roster, use the county FOIA process for jail or sheriff records. The county FOIA page lists sheriff-specific routing: Sheriff's Office, 5270 E. Remus Road, Mount Pleasant, MI 48858, phone (989) 772-5911, fax (989) 317-4272, and foiasheriff@isabellacounty.org. Requests can use the form or another written method, and the county asks requesters to mark the first page or email subject with FOIA or FOIA Request.
The FOIA public summary says Isabella County responds within five business days after receipt. It can grant, deny, grant in part and deny in part, extend for 10 business days, or state that a record is available for free on the website. Fees may include labor, copies, digital media, and mailing. Letter or legal paper copies may not exceed $0.10 per sheet, and estimated costs over $50 may require a 50 percent deposit.
